My sister gets ridiculously cold at the stables during winter esp her feet and has tried lots of things which don't work like thermal socks etc. We were looking at the Rimfrost boots and they sound quite good. - Has anyone got them and what do you think?

Thanks

Have had the Rimfrost Rider, but not the Paddock Boots. The Rider ones were lovely and warm and easy to put on, but on both pairs I had, the zip broke. Really quickly with the second pair, I think its when you get mud in the zip

I bought the paddock boots but found them really, really stiff, like having feet in plaster casts. Wore them around the house for a few weeks to try & break them in, got bored with them, sold them on e bay for what I paid for them.

I really would go to the tack shop & try them on rather than mail ordering them.

Hmm my sister is really slim so I dont think she would cope well with her 'feet in plaster casts' haha thanks. The Ariat ones look good but prob too expensive.. x

I had the Paddock version (and the long version!!!) - I found the paddock ones rubbed my ankles as they are very stiff at the top, so hardly wore them.
Recommend the long version (although a bit "moon boot" -y) - I now have the new shaped ones (forget what they're called) - these ones:

and they're amazing and v slim and comfortable.

I bought the short paddock rimfrost boots as I ALWAYS have cold feet but unfortunately they didnt work for me

Even after wearing them with thermal socks I still had frozen toes and also they are really stiff and the top of mine split and broke after the second winter of wearing them. Im looking for a new pair of boots to keep my feet warm this winter. I have heard that Muck Boots are really good and warm so I might try them (although I dont like the look of them hehe)

I had the short ones as well. They were stiff to start with and felt strange but I soon got used to them and wore them in. They were going great until the glue failed on one of them and the sole ended up hanging off and unfortunately couldn't be repaired. I went through no end of laces in them tho as they kept wearing and snapping. I have the long ones now but have only worn them a few times so far.
