I'll try! Is now the time to say I have both the black and brown long boots but wanted the Winter / Lace paddock boot (or both)?

You obviously have a boot fetish like me I have 4 pairs of mountain horse boots amongst some others ?

I now have to look on there site because I have seen this oh well never mind.

Some companies have chosen not to deal with us at all, some put on a lower order value limit, and others are fine, even setting up UK ordering and automatic VAT treatment. Worth contacting them but sounds like they've made their decision and I completely understand if they have, it's a complete Horlicks trying to do UK-EU stuff.

I gave up and googled and found some MH Active Winter Paddock Boots for £54.50, bargain!
My Ariat Devon Pro VX are splitting at the seams due to being abused all year - they're been worn all day every day since Feb so don't owe me anything, I never clean them apart from washing the mud off occasionally but fancied some warmer ones to finish the winter with as water is getting in the seam that's come unstitched on the Ariats.

I have another pair on standby breaking them in as I always do but thought nice £200 leather boots in the mud/winter seems a bit bonkers so I'll wear those in when I don't have to wade through mud & use the MH ones for now.

Need something comfy and supportive as dodgy back means I can't wear trainers or normal shoes nowadays so the Ariats live on my feet & Cob is (fingers crossed, Hail Mary etc) due to start in hand walking soon so neeeed comfort and warmth!

I have been hounding Mountain Horse since we left Brexit to set up a UK payment with VAT and taxes added and even offered to pay special courier fees at source. They said they were looking into it and it was imminent but nothing has materialised and I’m fed up with them. It’s quite obvious now they never intended to sell direct to the UK and it would have been nice had they been more honest rather than carry on with the continual lies and half hearted promises.

Maybe they looked into it and it wasn't feasible?

That may be so but it would have been more honest to say so in the first place. Instead they continued to dangle a ‘maybe’ every time I asked. I would have much preferred they said no straight out so we all knew where we stood. It is such a shame as their clothes are really good quality and I would buy them over any other brand if given the choice because they fit me so well.

It's probably been a big decision for them, they're probably understaffed like everywhere is post Covid, and it has taken me some time to work out what is feasible and what isn't for me, I cover NI and RoI and it's been an utter clusterfeck.
I read on fb about your struggles to get to NI and just wanted to say thanks for persevering. Sadly my bank account is currently empty, but I’m saving for a new saddle and hope to get you on a future trip!!

Exactly.

Perhaps we ought to tap up our forum friends in Ireland or in other countries to be a middle person, or would we be in danger of trafficking goods lol.
