Has anyone got the long snowy river boots by mountain horse ? I’ve heard positive things. The bottom looks quite robust so I was thinking they’d be good for mucking out in winter as well.

Just interested to hear what who have them think before I buy them

I’ve got the short ones and they are great, I had the long MH high rider boots and they were really comfortable and I used them all of the time in the winter, I found them too warm in the summer so used the short boots with chaps . Love MH boots in general

The lined, short, lace up boots I wear in winter are Mountain Horse.
I have had them 20 years or so but only wear them when the weather is frosty. I have matching half chaps and warm wool socks designed to go with them
They seem similar to what is now called Snowy River.
I was a complete novice when I was kitted out for winter hacking by an excellent saddler - Buttons - now sadly gone I believe.
I had gone for my first ever hack, and there was snow on the ground and I hadnt a clue. I had worn my jod boots and didnt realiseI could have broken my toes dismounting onto icey ground. My RI that freezing day told me to get warm boots. And I always did as my RI said.
