Mounted police officer (literally!)

looks funny in a way, but as the officer could actually have been killed, not really funny at all and an extremely dangerous horse if he thinks that behaviour is acceptable.

Nobody said the behavior was acceptable and apart from a bit of embarrassment and a bit of dented pride no one was hurt, so please have a sense of humor and see the funny side of the story.

I put my view across and did not criticise anyone else's, or even comment on anyone else's post, so why do you think you have the right to tell me how I should view the article?

Nobody said this was acceptable behavior so not sure who you're quoting when you use the words "if he thinks"

"Could have been killed" But Wasn't...we can't live in a world of What If's otherwise you would never get out of bed!!

"not really funny at all" your opinion not shared with the others who saw the funnyside of the post and took it in the humor as it was posted...unlike you who just pointed out what everyone else saw but still could have a chuckle at.

VERY well said!
I did see the funny side too!

These were my thoughts exactly.

I think HBM1 was referring to the horse, rather than any specific person. That is how I interpreted it anyway

Opinion is opinion, the OP did not find it funny, other may have done. Opinions are diverse and everyone is entitled to their own.

I found it mildly amusing till the pictures seem to have got progressively worse for the officer, must have been blooming scary for him. Glad he wasn't seriously injured, having half a tonne of horny horse going for you like that had got to have given some bruises, both physically and to dignity!!

I'm sure the police officer involved laughs about it now... If it had happened to me I think I would've been scared and shaken up at the time but would look back and laugh about it! Hopefully this police officer wasn't hurt and can see the funny side now.

I did have a giggle when I saw these pics but am now concerned that they add more fuel to the government's fire to have the horse fair banned. There was a big move after the shooting last year. Wouldn't it be a shame to loose such a vibrant tradition in a country's capital?
