mounting blocks. Anyone given up with finding a cheap one and made their own?

I've got large green tubs from my local farmer (which did have sheep licks in previously). They're like large tubtrugs but solid plastic. Brilliant things, use them for water in the paddocks and also very handy for getting on from. Were free too! Farmers often have stuff like that lying about which they'll happily give you. My other farmer dropped some yellow plastic things off to me last week coz he thought they'd make nice jumps / fillers!

We're going to put stuff on it so we don't slip on it, but it's fab! You just climb up, then plonk yourself on :D no feet in stirrups needed!

This is my new mounting block which I'm delighted with cost me £30 (although he only asked for £20 but I thought that was way too cheap for his time and wood) + have got handles and some wheels to put on so can be moved easily which were another £20
