We’ve a lovely little pony on loan, the pony arrived 3 weeks ago underweight. I booked the horse dentist who came checked & rasped teeth. She’s got issue at the back of her mouth so the vet is coming on Friday to do X-rays so we’re in the process of getting everything sorted however has anyone seen anything like this?
She is on short grass (our other two ponies are fine) hay whilst in during the day and two feeds.
Previous owner said she was stressy but she’s been foot perfect with us and appears happy in her routine.
Couple of suggestions were stress/Wood chewing ( not done any whilst with us ) or foraging?

Gum disease causing receding gums….I’m sure vet will clean up then you can help clean ponies mouth by flushing with water from large syringe followed by Hexarinse…vet will advise best routine.
