Reyt, we currently live in a lovely detached three double bedroomed house with two sitting rooms, dining room and kitchen/diner. It is on the edge of a lovely village, and we like it here. It is on a main A road but set well back from the road and we don't notice/hear the traffic very often. The horses are kept on rented field about 150 yards away. Hacking is OK. Our rent is currently £700 a month and the field is £40 a month.

I have found a cottage in a small hamlet of about 12 houses. It is on a farm and for long term rental. Three bedrooms but quite small compared to our current house. In the middle of nowhere, no major roads near so lovely and quiet. It has a paddock right next to the garden. Hacking is great. It is £450 a month including paddock.

There are only the two of us living here so don't really need all the room we have here but it is nice to have. I love the fact that the place I have seen is in the middle of nowhere and the horses would be right on the farm next to the house. I also like the price, which is pretty much £300 less than our current rental home.

Which would you choose? I haven't got a clue!

Move!!

I live in the cottage on the farm where I keep my horses - I love they are just over the hedge!!

As for the smaller house - use it as an excuse to dump all that stuff you have kept 'just in case'.......

AND you will be saving £300 quid a month and no worry about the grazing land etc etc....

id say move, the cottage, although smaller, sounds much more idealistic for what you would want, especailyl seeing as its cheaper!

ok its slightly smaller but i think I personalyl would rahter have a bit less space and more easy access to my ponies!

I'd keep the house and rent it out and move to the cottage. You'll have the best of both worlds then and if the grass isn't greener on the other side you can always move back!

I voted stay - but that's only because the 'new' house sounds just what I'm looking for and I know from previous posts you're within my area!! (If you don't want it let me know ;-) lol)
