move yards - before or after holiday?

Hi, all, please help me make one crucial decision: I want to move yards asap but will be away on holiday at the end of September for two weeks; giving notice at my current yard gives me a month so we would move early September. We are planning to move with a friend (horse and person) so there would be somebody I trust at the yard to look out for my girl. Would you wait and move when back (i.e. not hand in notice until after holiday so move in November) or say sod it we are unhappy now let's move immediately?

You have a friend who you trust to look after your horse so why wait any longer than you have too. At least your horse will have a month to settle in before you go away
