Well, Rosie and I entered our first Prelim test today after about a year doing intro and it went really well. We did P18. I didn't get placed but got 61.62% which I'm very pleased with. We got all 6s and a couple of 7s (as opposed to 5s and 6s) and actually got our first 7 in the collective marks. I'm very very pleased! Oh, and we managed an actual straight line up the centre line TWICE!!!

Hi there, glad you had a super day...I am in same boat tomorrow, doing P7 and P18 tomorrow at our first event since Nov last year where I did Intro's as only a baby horse and spent all last year doing Intros as I wanted him to learn all about going out and about and to just behave in collecting ring etc.

I hope I have as a productive and enjoyable day as you and your horse have had today !!! Well done you x

Thanks guys. Hope those of you who are moving to Prelim also do well!

Mine isn't a young horse (she's 17) but we're both learning together so I'm really really happy that we did OK. I actually think that her trot is much better once we've had a canter and this was reflected in the marks. We've also gone from getting comments about not being forward enough (with depressing regularity) to good paces and plenty of energy so hopefully we're doing something right!
