Moving 4 horses South coast to West Wales

Any one know a rough price for moving 4 horses from the south coast to West Wales the distance is 227 miles
not shared load about 4 hours drive.

I moved 2 horses plus stable stuff (rubber mats, feed bins etc which took up the other 2 partitions) from Essex to the West Wales coast (270 miles) in 2003. The trip cost around £300. I imagine that it would be in the region of £500, possibly more by now.

Whereabouts are you moving to ?

reckon on about £1 per mile if its solely your horses, maybe 20-30%% less if its a big shared load with a carrier who does it week in week out?

Thanks doesn't sound too bad.
purchase and sale of ours still going through but hopefully moving to Pembrookshire a village about 8 miles from Newcastle Emlyn.
Who did people use and would they recommend them.
We are Hampshire Sussex border.

Hey thanks what a friendly lot you are in West Wales!!
I must say it feels a bit scarry at the moment its the waiting that gets to me .The legal lot are sorting out everything.
Lets hope there are no hitches!! I keep thinking things never go this smoothly.

Another for White Horse Transport, used them quite a few times when I lived in West Wales and my Friend has used them for two big moves. Cant fault them, very nice people and always charged me a reasonable rate.
