Hey all, I'm trying to sell my 3.5t horsebox at the mo, has no MOT but is taxed and insured, if I sold it how would it be moved to wherever the buyer is? Can it be towed or does it have to on the back of a truck or something? If anyone knows it would be a great help ta :)

Not certain but think you can only drive it to it's MOT/plating without a current one and not move it from A to B on public roads.

I suspect however buys the lorry will ask you to get that done before they proceed if they have any sense.

Its failed MOT and I can't afford to fix it so selling cheap and the buyers know this! Was just wondering if it was legal to tow it but seems not.

Well yes technically it can be towed - by a vehicle heavier than itself, that can tow the required mass legally and on a proper towing frame.

If you mean on the end of a rope, then no - you are not allowed to tow any vehicle like that anymore.
