Just looking for some advice :)
I have recently been looking for some land to buy for my horses.
If I am able to buy some paddocks (just land nothing else) I’m a little bit concerned on being short on money. I don’t want to get there and not be able to afford to do anything.
I was wondering What kind off things I Would need and other items that would be really handy to buy in bulk.
Any tips are welcome!

Thanks! :)

If its just the land then you will need to factor in fencing repairs which can be pricey, ground maintenance can also be pricey. Depending on how many Horses on the fields you may have to feed hay during winter which will be an additional cost. Plus things like grass mates in gate ways if needed etc.

Hiya thanks for reply!
I have fencing and shelter roughly worked out it will be very very basic and it will all be up before the move
I was mainly after stuff like equipment, food and anything else people wished they got before they moved :)
Nothing’s set in stone I just wanted to have as much information as possible

Is it auto water? If not get some decent sized buckets, water carriers and tyres (will stop the Horses knocking them over). A decent strong wheelbarrow, some wooden pallets to store hay on with some sort of cover. A garden storage box for first aid, fly spray, mud fever prevention bits and bobs. I love my metal sieve which I use every day to clear my water trough. If you are having a shelter built are you putting bedding down? I also could not live without my waterproof gloves in winter.

Also, where you site the water. See if you can put some crush and run around it, as 5at is the place that will get most poached and also gateways... they can both become bogs in the wet...years ago when I had 3 acres for 2 ponies, I had a few ton of crushed stone delivered, and I spent a weekend barrowing it around the water trough and the gates.. it’s best if this is done in good dry weather, and you need to scrape some top soil back.. it would be worth it.
