Hi All,

I will be moving from Sydney Australia to London in September this year and I am planning on bringing my horse with me. Already looked into the cost of her flight!

Does anyone know of a list of yards within a reasonable distance to London (might be a tough ask)?

If anyone has any personal recommendations that would be much appreciated!

I bought he as an unbroken 3 year old and have broken her in myself and we now jump/event so i really don't want to sell her and buy another one there.

I am originally from Cirencester, Gloucestershire and moved to Sydney when i was a young teenager. So i really know nothing about horsey London!

London is a big place, so you need to know if you want to be north, south, west etc. I can help with yards north of the capital. Not with the rest. You also need to bear in mind it is very, very expensive keeping horses anywhere near London. And you need to get a long way out to get any decent hacking. Sorry to be a bit gloomy, but that's the way it is.

Im 20 minutes from Euston (Watford). Tons of yards round my way. What facilities do you want, will you have a car, do you prefer competing, hacking etc?

Dont do it!!!!! Its cold and wet all the year and everyone is fed up, we are in a economic down turn, and our poiticains are out of control and clueless:D
Sorry dont know much about london apart from you need a almost new horse box to travel in the low emission zone (inside the m25) and london real estate is almost the most expensive in the world as is rail travel, However it is a wonderfull vibrant city, good luck with your move...
