Moving horse to field used for sheep grazing....

We are moving our horses from livery to our new house and the field has previously been used for grazing sheep( within the last 2 months) just unsure if it's ok for my horse to be turned out in it right away or if anything needs done first...horses have been wormed regularly and will be done again and kept in for 24hrs before turnout in new place, did ask vet for advice but wasn't much help ....

The sheep will have kept the grass fairly short and not too rich, ideal for horses, they will not have worms that transfer to horses so no issues there, the only thing I would check is whether the fencing is safe, sheep wire is big enough for a horse to get its foot through with potentially serious consequences, other than that it should be perfect.

Ditto this. The only possible worm problem might be liver fluke, as this is passed through a snail which live in wet patches. This would only be a problem if the keeper of the sheep didn't dose for liver fluke. Don't panic, it isn't likely, just something to keep in mind.

Grass grazed by sheep is good as it is short and should be clear of weeds.

Thanks for feedback, fences in good order and believe liver fluke is quite rare or so I'm led to believe.

We graze our horses with sheep, never had a problem, sheep are great at keeping pastures level too with their little feet

Sheep-grazed grass is heaven for us horse owners! Never again will the field look so pristine. As others have said, the only thing you need to check is fencing.
