Hi Folks,

Lurked here for ages, just joined now - please be gentle.

So, the time has come to move house. I've been living across the Irish Sea now for quite a while so I'm probably out of touch completely, reality checks welcome. My field of expertise isn't paying here these days, the place has quite literally gone to the dogs. It still IS paying in England, I've had a whole pile of emails recently about stuff paying the going rate, in London, Midlands & South East. I guess its probably time to move then, back off to Blighty - wouldn't you say? Just had notice from our landlord today that they will be selling up inside a month...thats the final straw. I love this place, so beautiful, so perfect, but spoilt by the constant arguing & sniping of the people in everyday life.

Looking for suggestions on where is good for horsey types like me, not so much of a rider & more a driver. Should be places which are straightforward to commute by train into London if needed. I would prefer Kent because I'm a bit of a coast baby, but property prices for a 3 bed house may prohibit!! All suggestions welcome, but it must be an area where Horses are well catered for at a reasonable price :)

Come to West Norfolk, forest, beaches, competitions all within reach, main line trains to Kings Cross from Kings Lynn through to Cambridge and house prices most can afford too!!

Cheers folks, commuterguide looks interesting - hadn't seen that one before. I used to do London daily when I was with Auntie BBC but that was nearly 10 years ago.

Ah Bobbly, West Norfolk...how is Lynn? Worked for a company on the industrial estate near Campbell's back in 2005 - liked it lots actually. Hadn't even thought of heading back that way. What are property prices like for something 3 bedded & fair size (Box rooms make me cry!)
