After being a complete nervous wreck about moving my horse to a new yard along with moving house 2 hours away I am glad to say everything went extremely smoothly and nothing I was panicking about happened.

I got to the yard early on Thursday moving to make sure Zak was clean and tidy for our trip over to Derbyshire. He travelled really well and was only a little sweaty 2 hours later when we arrived at the new yard. After a brief meeting with one of his new field mates he was turned out and barely lifted his head for the rest of the afternoon. This was particularly amazing as Zak is generally a complete neurotic mess and would normally have been doing wall of death round his stable, or dragging me wherever he felt like going!

The lovely ladies at the new yard have been amazing too, feel very lucky to have found such a lovely yard.

We went for a ride this afternoon with some new found friends, have posted a couple of pics of our journey. Thank you so much to anyone who has given me advice to help make the move as calm as possible, everything has so far gone to plan....

Thank you, he is a very handsome maniac although he really is hiding his maniac side very well at the moment. With moving horse and house it's been a busy few days, looking forward to doing some exploring of the amazing bridle paths we seem to have here! :)
