Moving to assisted DIY- what do I need?

Horse is currently on working livery at a yard about 25 minutes from me- which isn't ideal- doesn't really feel like having my own horse at times as I only see her 3 times a week. (no transport of my own). :o
We've been on the waiting list for an assisted DIY yard for months and finally a space has popped up. Its about 5 minutes away from me, so obviously I'm seriously considering the move.

So I'm now trying to put together a list of everything I'll need and was wondering what everyone else thought was essential?

Also any specific brands of things you like or other general tips would be greatly appreciated!
 
You'll need mucking out tools, feed bowls, a water bucket, at least two haynets, dustbins to store feed in, and probably some sort of storage to put stuff in. Also a first aid kit. If the yard don't have them and your horse is shod, you might want farrier's tools as well, in case you find your horse in a field with a shoe half off.
I'm assuming you already have tack, rugs, grooming kit, head collar etc.
Tips: check what assistance is on offer and how much you have to use it- also times you are allowed up- some yards will say DIY and then not allow you on site until 8:30am so you can't go before work and have to pay for assisted.

Basically there's a woman who works alongside the YO and will do anything from changing rugs, to feeding/mucking out, So it can be as assisted as needed.
Though wheelbarrow is currently top of the list!
 
Thanks for the ideas, hadn't thought of padlocks! Hay and bedding is provided at the yard and all looks really nice quality. Reminded me to see just how far out current farrier travels as he does a great job on her feet.
 
Don't forget your feed scoop!

A marker pen to mark EVERYTHING with your name.

A big plastic box to lock away things like rugs, lunging stuff, your hat etc
 
I bought a wheelbarrow and never use it. I just fill my tub trig nd then fill it again. I like to carry it and do multiple trips to the muck heap so I burn more calories lol.
