Moving trailer by hand

Does anyone have any experience of moving an Ifor Williams by hand? I don’t mean a little budge when hitching up but manoeuvring it. I need to reverse mine in a tight spot with no space to turn or straighten up and so think it might be easier unhitching and repositioning by hand. The ground is flat and tarmac and there will be two adults (I don’t want any accidents!). It may be really obvious. I’ve never had to do it before!

Yes it’s easy to do. I had to get mine out of a tight spot after being blocked in by a broken down horsebox and it only took the farmer and the stockman to help me and it wasn’t on tarmac.

If you wind the jockey wheel up so its on its back wheels more, its easier to manoeuvre

Yes we used to do it with ours to get it on our narrow driveway. It's actually really easy

Remember to pull the trailer forward a little after backing it up. A foot or so is plenty. Otherwise the autoreverse will jam the brakes on for when you next try to use it. Ifors are notorious for doing that - I've got one and found that out the hard way!

Its easy enough to do if the trailer is balanced with the weight on the wheels. Just don't pull TOO hard on the handles, they are there to help position the trailer, not tow it and are just screwed in.
