I've been searching my area trying find a yard that has a decent amount of turnout for my youngster.

Found a yard today and been up and they have a nice big indoor an a few fields that they can go out during winter for a few hours a day. Now the BUT.... The stable I've been offered is away from the rest of everyone and on its own. And he wouldn't be able to see any other horses.

Getting fed up of trying for find somewhere that does winter turnout!

What is wrong with him being stabled alone and turned out with others through the day. It will teach him that being alone is not stressful and set him up as an independent horse for the future.

Depends how long he's out for, if just a couple of hours each day then that's a lot of time being in and alone which I wouldn't want with a youngster. If it was all day everyday turnout in a herd with other youngsters then I'd be fine with him being stabled alone at night.
