moving yards pregnant mare

hi was just wondering we are moving yards 13th march we have a mare in foal we have been told bynew yo she can go to new yard 1st march so she has as long as poss to settle in b4 foal comes she is due end april beg may. i'm not sure about taking her on her own in case she doesn't settle. would it be better to move her same time as others or is this leaving it a bit late or should i ask if one of her friends could go over at same time 1st march???

If she is buddies with the other horses I'd see if they will move earlie. That way there is longer to get her in a routine and less sudden changes .

It's your decision, but if it were me, I would move her at the same time as your other horses. This will lessen the stress for her. She should be fine to move on the 13th as she isn't due for another 6 weeks.

they are all our horses we have six so it just depends if new yo says it's ok to move one of the others same time as preg mare or would rather we wait but think i will ask the question like you said i would rather she be in and settled for as long as poss

in my opinion i would move them all at once and possibly try to bring the moving date forward this way she has time to settle and she still has things familuar around her
