Moving yards twice in 2 months

Hi all, hoping you can help I am about to buy my new native Cob Mare, she's having her strangles test and vetting next week. Subject to her passing that she will be moving to my new yard which is around 2 hours in the lorry. Very excited!

Problem is my partner has just been offered a new contract around 250miles away, down south, starting in November.

So my questions are as follows:

Do you think she will cope moving twice in 2 months?

She's very overweight hoping to shift some of this weight before the move but it's gonna be a long process. Have hard that long moves or stressful situations can bring on lami, specially in overweight horses?

There's a chance I could keep her where she is but takes me around hour and half a day to get there and because of work I can only do this at the weekend.

What do I do?

We bought as Appaloosa mare many years ago, who was almost foot perfect when seen at a sales livery yard. She turned into an absolute nightmare at the yard we took her to, nothing seemed to suit her. Her only saving grace was that she came to call. for unrelated reasons, after 6 weeks, we decided to move her to a different yard. On paper the two yards sounded pretty similar but the mare settled immediately at the second yard. It was just as if because we had moved with her, she felt more confident in us.

Stress laminitis is more to do with concussion, stressing the laminae, than with mental stress.

My only concern is she's quite a nervous girly, funny with strangers.. I've been to see her 4 times now and she takes a while to settle around you.
Hopefully she will be ok! X
 
Mine is ok now but was a quirky and sometimes very difficult pony. He coped, and in fact when we unloaded at the new yard it was like he did a big sigh of relief and just settled
 
Just think, horses on the competition circuit have to move every couple of days for months on end, and they cope. She will be OK.
