A month a go I lost my temper with my current yard and gave them my notice. Not the best move but, looking back Im glad I did it.

Although current yard is close, the school is DIRE. I havent ridden my horse for over 2 months because the school is too deep. I asked, repeatedly, for something to be done but I was always given excuses.

So I had a competition horse that i was unable to ride.

There is also no hacking at my yard as it leads onto a busy A road.

I was going to take him to my Oh's yard but decided againt it as it is a bit far and I didnt want to keep asking him to help me out and, it was touch and go if I would find somewhere in time.

BUT, with a week left, I found a yard 7 miles away. It has all off road hacking, an indoor school and is £60 cheaper a month!

Im very excited as it means, come monday, I will be able to start getting my horse back into work. Poor V wont know what has hit him!

So wish me luck. He is going on sunday. I am slightly worried that he wont settle so calming vibes would also be good please!

ooo sounds really excting, im glad youve found somewhere nice - and an indoor school too, you lucky thing!!

Does this mean you and the gorgeous V will be out competing again soon? x

Best of luck - hope you both settle in nicely. Result with it having better facilities and being cheaper by the way - why can't things like that happen all the time.

Thanks! Its a bit worrying isnt it?

It took V AGES to settle at the current yard. He was a very unhappy boy for quite a while. I just hope, for his sake, he copes better.

Im so glad too! The school is really nice. Its olympic size too and, most importantly, well looked after! LOL

Well, I do hope it means we will be out shortly. I have been so down about not going out.

I have had huge issues with my lorry, as you know, and have got to the stage where I cannot bring myself to drive it.

OH is driving it on sunday for me and then he is going to sell it for me as he has a trailer and a lorry and has kindly offered to be my bitch/groom!

i am lucky that i have two & altia from here's mare is going too, jay is a stress head so want to make it as easy as possible.

we will be renting our own yard so its just our horses.

hope everything goes really smoothly

Too right! I have struggled so much with my livery over the past few months. Esp when I feel like im just throwing money away!

Lucky you!

In the same month that gave my notice. 3 others, on my yard, have done the same. So, effectively the yard is losing 6 horses (3 that are full livery) all for the same reasons.

LMAO at him being your b*tch

Its a bit of a pain about your lorry, but at least your OH can help you out which is good - maybe you can convert him to the darkside of dressage, rather than all that galloping around the countryside getting muddy

Hope your puppy is behaving too!!

YAY best of luck from me

Mine is on a special supplement as OH was told yesterday, by the vet that he wasnt as old as we were led to believe.

He is also sprouting some long hairs so i think he is going to be wirehaired! eeeek!
grin.gif

Tell me about it! I have been so frustrated.

But, it may have done V some good having some time off...we will see!
grin.gif

And, of course, you know me, pictures will be a plenty!

"this is V going in the lorry"
" this is V's stable"
" This is V's view, from his stable"

Oh good luck you may find your horse is more settled in the new place as you will be more happy being there it is surprising how our horses pick up on our own emotions. I hope it all works out well for you and V and best of luck with the move.

PS: the new place sounds fab!

Good luck it sounds fantastic so I don't think you'll need the luck.

Very well done on your find and I shall look forwards to the photo's.

Kudos for keeping that bit of independance to.

Hope you and V have a great 2008.

Thanks! I can't wait now. I have been so unmotivated because of the situation. I needed a kick up the arse and my OH did that for me.
