Hi just looking for advice. I have the opportunity to move livery yards in around 6-8weeks time. It’s my daughter’s horse we will be moving.
We haven’t had the horse long only since the beginning of the year & she’s a young horse the move was stressful for her…young & didn’t know her new owners etc. she has developed a few health issues along the way which is under control with vet checks, advice etc but this is putting me off the move but my daughter isn’t enjoying the yard or even riding at the minute as they isn’t anyone for her to ride with or even any teens there for her to interact with.
The new yard she would have plenty people to ride with, can hack out, they always box up & go places to ride & it’s a much more friendly atmosphere.
I’m just in a situation where we both are striving to move but don’t know if it’s the right decision for the horse even though it is for us as we are really unhappy where we are.

Any advice is really appreciated.

Well forgive me for suggesting this but if this is your daughter’s first horse it’s far more important she gets her health and stability sorted first. Ideal time to learn some in hand stuff or even just take her for walks. It’s not all about the humans enjoyment. I wouldn’t move her again yet. Unless it’s detrimental to the horse to stay.

It isn’t her first horse it’s her 4th.
