My horse is going for an MRI this week, the insurance are covering it so that is good news but I am officially wetting myself

I'm really worried now my horse has just had an MRI at Newbury's donning ton grove cost approx £1000 + VAT. I emailed them but didn't confirm that they would cover it but I believed any work was covered within the £5000 vet limit. My vets and everyone didn't mention anything and were happy to work with NFU.

I've known NFU cover the cost of scans, it's not unusual any more. Don't worry. Presume it will be paid, especially as you have informed them. They covered my friends scan at leahurst a few years ago.

I think the point was they had not been asked!

I was replying to ktj1891 (sorry didn't quote to make it clear) she also says on her other post elsewhere that they said yes on the phone.

The reason she was worried on other thread was because she had not mentioned MRI. However out of all insurers they will find NFU the fairest to deal with.
