To woh ever asked bout new market i forget sorry, no Connie hadn't yet been she was havin a chill in the field before going to see Sue Dyson. They had thought she had a problem in her hocks and were going to scan those, but what happened on sat was due to a blood clot, L went down to get her in and she wasn't rite then, she called me late afternoon, i was expecting her to say im at blenheim were are u, but it was the most haunting call of my life, she could barely talk, just saying she's dying. I spoke to her a couple of hours later nd Con was still fighting trying to hold on, but i got a text round 10.30 to say that she had gone there was a blood clot and there was nothing that could be done.
I have pased on yr thoughts to L and she is so grateful she will come on and read them in time

So sorry for your tragic loss, she really was a super little horse. All our thoughts are with you at this devastating time.

Hopefully in time you will be able to look back at your magical years together and you will be able to smile.

R.I.P Connie. xx

Completely devastating for all concerned, my heart aches for Laura who formed such a strong and inspirational partnership with such a special little mare.

Rest in Peace Connie

Just seen this, and can't believe it. So so sorry to read this, Connie was a very special girl and it was a brilliant partnership to watch. Hugs and thoughts with all involved xxx

I have always followed Connies eventing career as I used to groom for her sire, Rock King

It so fab seeing some of his babies doing so well, if she was as special as her Dad she will be very sadly missed

So Sorry Laura

Very sad news. It is devastating having to have a much loved friend put to sleep.

Was the blood clot as a result of the nasty way she hit the fence at Burghley or was it completely unrelated?
