Posting here as no one seems to be looking in vetinarary section.

Just after a bit of advice guys.

After Mac has been worked hard e.g jump lesson or interval training in the morning we find one or two lumps of mucas - they are white and not yellow.

The vet checked his chest and breathing a few weeks ago and said he is fine.

Im wondering if it has something to do with the fact that he was left out in the field roughed off for 4 yrs before I then brought him back into work and clipped him (he is very well rugged up)

Any thoughts? Just worries you a bit

My understanding is that clearish mucas is normal and yellowish is a sign of infection. I could be wrong but thats what I was led to believe. My mare has COPD and sometimes has a huge snot down her nose (nice!) during/after heavy work and a load of clear mucas comes out - vet said it was nothing to worry she's just clearing her passages out.
