Attached are a cople pics of my section D, i was wondering if it would be worth showing her in hand or not, shes a bit short up fornt, but im not very good with conformation i just think she looks quite pretty
Ive dont one show with her, and the judges said we should definatly breed from her in future(shes mine on loan, but her owners tihnking of breeding from her in her retirement). I dont want to show her ridden at the moemnt as she still not very good at cantering, but just any tohghts on her confoarion, and what level showing in hand you tihnk she could do, i dont have any hopes of winning, just getting placed

Shes gettign her muscles back, but i want to get a ity more muscle on heer
Thankyou

Smart looking, best bet is to try local and see what judges says. Though you might want to train her mane to the correct side.

Needs a tad bit more Top line IMHO but she does look nice. Have you any photos of her Moving? And, Is She papered?

Yup shes all papered, shes gettig her top line back- i took about 6 months off riding last year, and she was only ridden a few times a moth, so im still getting he muscle back

In the summer, my instructor riding

At her peak of fitness doing an endurance ride with her owner( not a very good shot of her working well, but shows her muscle)

Me riding her yesturday

Thanks!
With me she still resists the bit sometimes, sometimes shes an angel , sometimes shes shking her head and trying to stretch the whole time

- The only pic of her cantering vaguely one the bit, cant even remember if she was on the right leg, with my instructor she owuld juust be able to comeplete a cople canter circles in a prelim test, just! At the moment

She looks super ridden, I;d really work at that!
As she gets fitter being ridden, she will resist less.

I'll keep working on her ridden then! Its good as shes on livery at the mo, so i can use the school everyday for free(though shed go bonkers ifi used it more than 4 times a week on her, 5 times pushing it) and i dont have any mucking out, but getting my section B up to comeptition fitness to be competing (inter)nationally (very small chance) its quite tricky, thought im probably not gonna do too many events on him this year, next year the hard work starts for him!
Anyeays, so with ridden, what classes would she be eligable for? Obviously welsh, but any other ideas?
And how well do you tihnk she could do ( my instructor mght do a cople classes on her if we ever sort her canter out)
Thankyou all, do you tihnk other than being a bit on the front legs, shes got quite good conformartion then?

Try to get a neat showing saddle, straight cut, no white numnah and you will lift and add a couple of inches to her front and shorten her back , visually.
M&M showing, M&M WHP and dressage, Riding CLUB Pony t local shows.

Just a quick observation.... are you still using the same saddle that was shown with your instructor riding? Cos in that picture it looks like its rising off her back..... and this could be a reason for the head chucking!

Yeah were using the same saddle, but she'd knocked it over the stable door and trodden on it(im nt very good at looking after my tackim afraid), so some of the stictcking had come off, we've had it fixed though and it fits fine now
I tihnk she throws her head because she gets a lot of teinsion building up in her neck, as she doesnt stretch properly unless you work at it for 15 minutes, shes quite good most of the time now
If she does ok showing, i mgiht see if we can get her a show saddle, but for what we'd e doing at the moment i dont think it would be worth it, good idea though
What exactly are WHP classes judged on? I dont do much showing other than in hand or driven

Her jumping

Definately go for ridden showing with her - she looks good under saddle

You often find that those who do well inhand do not do so well ridden, they have to be a little 'up themselves' (especially the Welshies) to do really well inhand which does not always translate well under saddle.

Good luck
