Someone mentioned to me out riding today that the Just Togs mud mucker boots are good...

I'm looking to get some long boots so, any opintions? Are the riding ones better than the normal ones? Or vice versa?

I've got the normal pink/black muck boots and they are great but no good for riding in (the foot is too wide). I love them for around the yard though as they are very warm and comfy. My sister lives in the riding style ones - they are also great and again very warm (plus you can ride in them!)

i have the riding ones as well, great round the yard ,keep your feet warm.I do ride in mine ,the foot is fairly wide so you need to make sure your stirrups are wide enough. It does get a bit lethal going through the bog to the muck heap though as the riding ones obviously have a riding tread on them.

nay

reason, do not last!!

Mine were great for about 2 months certainly keep your feet toasty warm, and then they started getting holes in them.

Not just mine either several others in the yard had/have the same problem. Tyne did not even bother to answer my email when I complained. They also used to have on their website how to fix holes, with marine sealant, if they were quality this would not be necessary.

(needless to say I tried the marine sealant, did not work either )

A definate thumbs down!

I have them. I LOVE them. I have riding ones

Would really recommend.

On my second pair, fabulously warm and great to have waterproof and warm riding wellies instead of changing footwear whilst hopping around on the stable floor! I found with my last pair that the rubber came away from the neoprene, but they have updated the style since then, and the pair I have now have been in use for a year (not summer as too warm!)) and no problems at all. I'm going to get the joddy boot style ones to use with my long chaps.

Oh yes and i agree they are slippery in the mud!!! Mine have lasted a year so far (got them last xmas and they are still great). My sisters riding ones lasted just under a year before they got holes in them

what did I do wrong or should I say did we do wrong!

I did wear them with the holes though in the summer, (feet did not get too hot ) and bought some mark todd cook winter boots when it started to get wet, which so far are faring a lot better and are equally toasty warm, even on my feet!!

Fantastic boots

.

Mine have been worn day in day out for hours at a time and have survived everything that's been thrown at them. Wet, ice, snow (though the soles could do with more grip!), deep mud... and my feet have never ever been wet or cold. I've even used the pressure washer to clean them whilst i was wearing them and I didnt get wet feet them either.
Mine have been through the washing machine (cool wash) three times now and they're still as good as new.
