Muck Boots?

my mum has teh tay sport ones which when she first got I thought were too heavy and clumpy. Now I keep nicking them will invest in a pair myself if I can find them, they keep selling out in size 5!!you can wear just normal socks with the and your feet never go cold-even while waiting for your incredibly slow blacksmith to do 4 horses!!I will buy a pair if I can find them and afford them, I just bought a fluorecent onesie for my collie (quite long haired one) to keep him clean and so I can see if he is annoying the nags.(i only added that in because I cant wait for it to arrive!):o
 
They're amazing. Never ever have cold feet and last ages, so comfy I've got 2 pairs...and my oh has just been converted from hunters to them ;-)....well worth the money they're cheap IMO!!! X
 
I've had two pairs and I would hate to be without them. The first pair lasted 5 years ish, and still are ok for water less than ankle deep! :) I have never had cold feet whilst wearing them and they fit my rather chunky calves easily. I have the Derwents now which are my favourites, they have excellent grip. I can't recommend them enough, I would have to stay indoors if I didn't have them!
 
Got a pair of Derwent ( I think they are called ) fantastic , i'd never go back to hunters now and i've always got warm tootsies in the winter!!
 
I'm on my fourth pair now- the tynes - a riding cut boot. They are fab. I've converted everyone on the yard to them - you'll never get cold feet. Because I ride, cycle and walk the dogs in mine, they only last about nine months though.
 
I'm on my 3rd or 4th pair from over about 6 years, they are fabulous and toasty warm.

I've learnt now not to get the 'tack' version as they are just soo slippery in the smallest amount of mud or ice, but i now have 'derwent' and they are brilliant.

I love the fact you can leave them rolled down as well when you don't really need them up, and they easily fit my humungous calves!

Totally worth the money!
 
I've got the Tynes, had them since last December and they are still as good as new apart from one of the pully off bits (??) has come off. I have lived and died in them, and they are so comfy, I could go to bed in them! My only complaint could be that my feet get too hot.
 
Wouldn't buy any other kind of wellies now:D

I ahve just bought my 3 pair - Derwents are £53 - worth every penny as they last me on average 3 years - I live on the yard and wear mine every day for at least 6 months and not just for horses/mucking out but walking the dogs in. Never had wet or cold feet and they are actually comfortable to walk miles in unlike normally wellies:)

Last year even in -17 my toes were toasty warm - as some one else said you are more likely to have feet too hot than cold!!:D:D:D
 
Last winter I was given a pair of Dubarry's :) Guess what, I prefer my muck boots. Not the most stylish welly but the warmest, most comfortable boot I have ever had!
