Muck boots

I've heard that muck boots aren't that wide around the calf? I'm no supermodel, my legs are pretty average, but I always wear jeans to the yard. So could you fit them over jeans on average thighs?? or would I have to resort to (whispers) leggings as I have no use for jodhs...

MD is a slim size 8 in jeans & she can fit hers quite easily over jeans, as this is her favoured riding apparel combination!

Me? Hell, not even close - I can just about get the ruddy muck boots on! lol
(I am however the opposite of MD, being short & chunky with hefty calves!)

I always thought I had slim calves, but in measuring up for half chaps recently I realised that they are actually rounder (15") than they are tall!! Anyway, back to the point - I have plenty of room for jeans in my muck boots (which I love btw).

I can squeeze into a size 12 but I'm short & stocky which doesn't help! Eldest daughter is a size 12 too & she couldn't fit muck boots over jeans either, having the same chunky calves as me!

If you were a lighter built 12 with longer, slimmer legs than I have, you might be OK but you'd really have to try them, as you're right, they aren't very generous in the calf at all!

Should add, ED & I only have tiny feet, being size 4, so maybe they presume we have teeny weeny calves to go with our teeny weeny feet?
Perhaps they get a bit more generous as you go up in size?

I'm 15 and 1/4 round the fattest part of my calves... that's over jeans.

I have muck boots and can fit them over jeans and tracksuit bottoms!! Mine are a size 6 and plentiful big

The Tyne Muck Boots are fab, they have quite a bit of neoprene in them so accommodate pretty much any size leg. I am bigger than a size 12 (sadly) but they fit me, so you should be absolutely fine.

Mine easily fit over jeans, and I'm about the same size as you. They're pretty stretchy at the top.

Im a size 12 with chunky legs, size 5 feet. I tried some muck boots on in the shop and I should be able to get them on with jeans. I'm thinking of buying the Tack ones so I can ride in them too but disappointed that they don't come in the pink and brown check - am I sad?

Muck boots are very stretchy, & fit the widest calves. Maybe you (or whoever) tried Muck "type" boots like the Just Togs ones as they are not so generous in the fit.
