Hi, what is the going rate for muck heap removals currently? It's chopped rape straw bedding. It's about 10 months worth from 2 horses stabled overnight and pop picked fields. Thanks

I pay just under £100 for a trailer load - one of the big muck trailers you see being towed behind tractors. Might be cheaper with fertilizer prices being what they are now tho!

It was upwards of £40 a load pre Christmas for a smaller trailer.

You’ve got two factors at play now though - fertiliser costs through the roof, and changes to the slurry rules. Farmers may well want it but might not be able to use it…

I've just paid £140 for a 12ton load. Used to be £120 but they've added £20 for fuel costs which I can't really argue with!

£50 for the trailer to be dropped off and we fill it ourselves, then taken away. Small/Medium sized trailer

Last did this 2019

Ours is £60 for a muck trailer, I usually get it taken every 6 months and that’s for 2 ponies living out with access to a field shelter so there is some bedding in there too, and that would be a full trailers worth.
