Hi, I was wondering what you all do with your muck once it has been on the muck heap for a while. I work on a large yard with 17 horses so we produce quite alot of muck, unfortunatly we do not have a tractor or enough fields to spread it on the fields, and it seems silly to take it away becuase people would have to take it away more than once a week. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Can you sell it to garden centres or not?
Thank you

Gardeners take some of ours away. I certainly wouldn't spread it over fields that horses are going to graze later.

We have a muck trailer that we put it into then our local farmer collects it once a week and takes it away for his fields free of charge to both parties!!

Our yard is part of a farm so our YO's husband sorts the muck heap out.

He also collects other yards heaps for them to use on his fields.

Might be worth approaching some local farmers too.

find a fruit farmer they love the stuff for there trees or anyone that has an orchard ie cherries as muck holds mositure and is very good for the base of the trees also look for worm farmers in your area as they to will take it
as they breed blue nose worms for landfill sites can google either
also put signs up or bagged it up and leave at end of gateway with please take one sign as in free manure- or 50p abag sign
also advertise in local sweet shops
