muck spreading

found out today that the person i rent my field of wants to muck spread it so how long do i have to wait before i can put my horse back on would nt mind its had no horses or cattle on it for over a year i ve only had mine on for about a month and go round picking up the muck looks like im going to have to find somewhere else

You want to sit down and talk about it together, if your renting field off him/her and your not happy with growth etc then i could see why you might want to spread the muck on to fert it but if your happy with the grass growth for your horse then i cant see the point.
Is your muck heap ready for emptying and hes spreading that onto the field? Normaly spreding muck onto grass, even tho it goes on pritty thinly and evenly it takes a while to rot down, then most harrow it a week or 2 after to take out any lumps etc to then rot down further.

hes not spreading my horse muck i do pile it up but i let people come and take it for their gardens he said cow muck

I should imagine it will be a good month before it rots down altogether, once it rains you'll see a noticeable change in colour of the grass but you will still see the muck (depending on how thick he spreads it)
