Muckboot Tyne Riding boots for BHS Exams??

Hi all,

I am on the path to continue my BHS stages but need to know if my riding boots are ok?

I have wide calfs and the most comfy thing in the world to ride in (which also make me ride better) are my Muckboot Tynes.

But I am not sure if they are ok for exams???? I know they are seriously ugly according to some, but I love mine.

I really cant afford to buy some new leather riding boots, but may have to try to find some synthetic ones if my Tynes are no good.

Does anyone know if they are ok?

The BHS are very traditionalist about exam dress codes.

No, they won't be allowed unless you have a drs note stating you are wearing them for a medical reason. Yu can get decent looking but cheap jod boots and gaitors, especially for wider calves. I've got some lovely tredstep ones for my 18" calves.

I would take considerable care with my turn out if I were you, pale breeches, shirt, tie, tweed jacket, boots (polished) gloves, clean hat, hair net. I think that a dark jumper is acceptable if you don't have an appropriate jacket. Good luck with your exam

Just Togs do some nice synthetic ones for about 50 quid, and the fit my fat calves

Lol! Thanks guys...I think I must have been dreaming!

I kinda knew it was a no-no but thought I would check. Will be investing in some BHS approved exam footwear in that case.

Just looked at the Just Togs website and there are a few options up to about £70-£80 which is more affordable than other riding boots I have been looking at. So I will try some of those.
