Mucking out times

P is 2 miles from home. It tends to take me 60-70 minutes in the week to get to the yard, feed (P & 3-10 others), turn out P, full muck out, relay bed with fresh straw, waters, haynets, make up dinner & snack ball for P to come into & home again.

Takes me about 30-45 minutes to muck out, to be fair my mare is disgusting and I can't stand the tiny bits of poop in the bed! I was on woodchip, then wood pellets, now bedsoft but want to change back to woodchip and I hate straw :)

Once I get back into practice it takes me an hour to feed and t/o my two and muck out two beds, do hay and water and feeds. Yard is 2 mins from house

15 mins per stable, plus an extra 5 minutes if I'm putting new straw down. I do this x 2 a day with two very messy geldings who are out from 7am-6pm most days.

10 mins max for a full muck out of a big, deep bed (either paper, shavings or straw), including water and haylage. I hate haynets and won't use them, so I feed haylage from the floor, and that saves time. But then I've had to learn to be fast!

Nice to see you back Starzaan, but must admit at the moment a slow 20 minutes for 2 stables but as the 3 boys will soon, 1 in already the other 2 come in tomorrow night may have to speed up a little as I want to start riding 2 and still have 3 dogs to walk plus the housework etc.
