Does anyone elses horse do all their poo's in one pile. Mine does and it makes mucking out soooo easy. Though my horse is over 18hh so it is rather a large pile lol.

Have you just posted this to show off to all the people who have a stinking mess everytime they go out in the morning, no matter how many times the horses are skipped out in the day!!!!!:D

Can I swap?! Not for my sec A who does neat tidy little piles which are easy to pick up. But for my other pony. I really don't know how a 13'2" can make so much mess and poo soooooo much. The whole bed is covered (12 x 12 stable, and he is only in at night) and then he stirs it all up. I get depressed every morning when I see it!

When I had a yard to muck out, only a few were 'clean'. One horse was very neat, but you had to muck him out first before he wanted attention and pawed (?) all the droppings scattering them... grrrr, if I got delayed with something before his turn, I knew about it!!!

My stallion does a lovely little pile in one corner and never disturbs it, mucking him out takes about 3 mins but before the hate mail starts the others are all pigs. Have you ever tried mucking out a mini's stable????. WHAT AN NIGHTMARE. Their poo is so small it falls through the shavings fork with the shavings. If I am in a hurry I put on some plastic gloves and pick the damn stuff up. groooooooossssssssssssss :mad::mad:

Yes, my boy does that, it's great! he also wees pretty much in one place too so half the stable is nearly always completely clean and dry!!! Also not to totally show off but he tends to poo where others do when out in the field also which makes poo picking much easier.

On the down side he's a bit mad and I can't take him to shows or anywhere with lots of horses cause he gets so excited and uncontrollable. So I guess they all have their good and bad points!

one of mine does this too!! She pees & poos all in the same place at the back of her stable. When she was younger (& her poos smaller) i used to put a bucket there to catch it all, took all of 2secs to muck out! I also have one the only pees outside, another two that pee in one corner & poo in the other, but two of the mares make up for it completely by making a huge mess, smushing it all in! Oh but i do love my clean ones! :D

Oh and I forgot to mention, he pees in the same place as well so most of the straw is clean ! Rub it in lol * runs off to employ a body guard *

My stallion is also a joy to muck out, and a couple of my mares are fab.
But some of them are just so horrendously messy that each day i have to nearly throw the whole bed out.
Needless to stay mine stay out 24/7 when poss and the messy ones only come in when is really nesessary

My mare is a delight to muck out - so clean. My gelding is absolutely disgusting, and the pony is inbetween the two! That averages them all out as normal doesn't it, so I can't show off!

We have "poo corner"! But then he also seems to bury it and his wee can be anywhere! Mucky pup..
Thats a bit odd that your horse is so clean .....do you reckon she judges you on how clean her tack is as well hehe

Yup Genie poos in one place and wees in another! :D However if I'm late she will then mush it in and have a tantrum. Titch isn't quite as clean as her sister, but is cleaner than she was!

Roxy more or less pooh`s in one place, Ayla on the other hand pooh`s every where....plays hide and seek with it then goes on to lie on it, then just for good measure she dig`s down to the concrete puts the pooh there and somehow puts straw on top...its really annoying, the pooh goes in to 100`s of pieces and she just looks so smug!!!
Have actually watched her do the whole digging part...she`s gone as far as digging under banks and poohing there!!!

Yep I have one that does this his bed virtually looks the same every morning - its great. My other one just goes in a third of the stable so its just a case of taking out that part(very quick to do). Luckily both of the tidy ones are mine. Unluckily that is where it ends as liveries horses are a different story - one of them is disgusting - I mean seriously bad! I basically just have to take the bed out and replace every day, he pulls his water bucket over, mixes all his hay in with his straw, manages to do a whole poo under what looks like an undisturbed bank, poo's in his empty water bucket - its grim!

mine are pretty clean, 1 pee's in the same place and poo along the back wall, the other (mare) poo's then pees on top of the poo - strange but easy to muck out

I did 18 boxes yesterday and I pray for them all to have pooped in one pile and held their wee for the field..... they all let me down!

We do have a couple of new mares in that both poo in a pile, one of them doesnt like to wee in the stable and will do a huge one as soon as she is in the field but the other is a skanky creature and her whole bed is replaced almost daily.

We also have a 'special case' whos bed will look untouched in the morning, untill you lift the banks!

Shy usually has all his poos sticking onto his stable rug. So all i have to do is remove it (outside obviously), scrape it off, and voila! mucking out sorted ;).

I do have to wash the rug every day tho.

Thankfully..my girl does it in one neat pile at the back of the stable. Does it in the same place in the field too!

Holds her bladder all night...if you get out of your car quick enough and pop her into her paddock..then result. If not we are greeted to the sound of Niagra Falls and the horror of knowing that the bed will be very wet!

Not in at the moment, but my little one has taken to pooing reallyyyyy close (as in, about 5cm from) the muck heap! Which is very useful =] although on some days if I'm in a mood it drives me NUTS having to pick them up and move them 5 cm!!!!
