Pony has teeny bit of mudfever. It’s just a couple of small dry bald patches the size of a fingernail. Doesn’t mind it being touched, but fetlocks have swollen after standing in stable. Can it still cause issues like that even if it’s not outwardly sore?

I don't wash it I just get as much of the mud off then cover the area in mud fever powder I try and do it twice a day, I've done this all winter and his only got 2 tiny patches on the bottom of his heal, it hasn't spread or got worse all winter this year and he had it much worse last year.
