Mud fever, do you ride?

I rode Friday morning in the school and my horse was fine. Turned him out, brought him in at lunch as usual and noticed a puffy leg. Took him in school on the lunge, not lame but definitely not quite right. If you didn't know him you probably wouldn't have noticed anything. This morning he had 2 puffy legs. I did a bit of digging and found mudfever on both pasterns. Cleaned both, dried and put cream on. His puffy legs look slightly better tonight. He is now in until I get on top of it. Obviously he needs some sort of exercise but would you ride? It would be road work so no mud. Other option is just to walk him inhand round the school.

Thanks all. He legs were looking better last night but I'm expecting them to be quite puffy again this morning. If no real headway made in the next few days then I will call the vet.
