re shampoo and pig oil
these 2 remedies keep appearing in this and other related threads...
re shampoo - do you rinse it off or leave it on?
what is pig oil - and where do you get it
if you don't have access to an obliging pig

I havent used the shampoo but I would imagine you rinse it off and dry the skin thoroughly before putting a barrier/topical cream on so as to not trap any bacteria on the skin.
The Pig Oil & Sulphur is a ready made product, I get mine from the local Feed Merchants but tack shops sell it too. Mine is the Gold Label brand and costs £4.99 for about a litre I think, not checked. I sponge it on and it really does seem to work.
