Sorry I know there have been loads of posts about it before
Ted has quite long feathers which are quite thick and he goes out everyday in a field where the entrance/exit is really deep mud so everyday he comes in which wet muddy legs. The lumps of mud in his feathers dont seem to go right down to his skin but I wanted to know if he is at risk of getting mud fever .. I leave his legs to dry and then brush as much as I can of the mud everyday. Is this the right way to do it or do they have to be washed etc .. ? He doesnt currently have mud fever but I want to prevent it
