Mud fever?

i hav just recently got my horse back who has been on loan for just under 2 years. She has two back white socks, on JUST the inside of each sock we noticed scabs running down the middle of her legs, i clipped her socks and they are scabs. Is this mud fever or something else? Thanx Vicky

It's highly likely it's mud fever, there's loads of cases at the moment due to the wet conditions

It's been the worse year for mud fever I have known. Most of the horses on our yard have had it to some extent. So don't blame your loaner, even if she never had it in your care

no i wasnt blaming her at all she looked after my horse very well. I meant that i have never seen mud fever in just the inside of horses legs like she has?

Every horse at our yard has it this year. two have thrush too.
