OH MY GOD!!! I have never seen as much mud as I've got in my fields! Argh! - My lovely fields and Kinzzy's lovely clean feathers are all disappearing!

I'm just not used to the gateways being so poached! When Kinzzy and I were on our livery yard, things were a lot cleaner! Plus, I'm freaking out of course because it's my own land!

I have three main paddock areas (plus an extra smaller one for schooling or summer grazing) and I promised myself that my 3 neddies (Kinz, Luna and Gem) would only use two of them, so I'm rotating them every few weeks. It just looks such a mess and I can't get my barrow through.

OK, rant over (I think!) just humour me!

My field is the same, i have 3 acres all together, half of it is lovely and getting lush, bright green and clean (they grazed it all summer so now its resting) and the other half, well its boggy and horrid!! looks such a mess esp by the gate ways and where they eat there hay, the other section isnt too bad but its fast dissapearing, they have been on it since beginning of october, still a long way to go

Heh join the real world of horse owning. You can no longer blame other liveries or YO, you are it and I can tell you now, you will spend more time fixing fences clearing horsemuck from the paddocks and stables and where you can legally put it and when you can really find the time to ride said neddies.

I really feel for you. I had very wet paddocks when we lived in Scotland it was such a motivator to retire here!!

Do put hardcore in the gateways though. Even here we have done all the gates makes life so much easier.

At least I can rest in the knowledge of the fact Ginny's legs are clean as her feathers protect her legs so well !!

I am hating the mud though, the horses & I are slipping everywhere
