So I couldn't let my pony stay in her winter paddock any longer, there was no grass and it looked awful and was getting to the stage where it would probable never recover. I have moved her to her summer field and already (after 2 days) its looking muddy. We do have heavy soil but this is ridiculous. Luckily I have split it into 2 but realisticly it needs to last about 6 weeks which I just can't see myself. Sorry this is abit of a pointless post really. Only I do need to ask opinions.... I am putting her into her stable and all-weather turn-out bit at night to try and make it last a little longer but do you think that after a couple of weeks before the side she is in gets too trashed I should move her to the other half and then the half shes in now may grow again or should i leave her in this half and just put her in the other half on dry days whan the ground isn't a quagmire and sacrifice this half a little bit?
