Mud

I find that unless the equilibrium ones fit your horses leg perfectly then they rub. Sportabac turnout socks are a bit more flexible. Don't buy Derby House's own version - they're rubbish.

I brought Sportabac ones and unfortunately they caused cellulitis in both front legs as they caused the legs to sweat. I just clip his legs out now and hose them off.

I get on really well with the Equilibrium chaps.....I prefer the cheaper neoprene ones to the more expensive mud fever ones. I have never experienced problems with rubbing and they have been very beneficial to my arthritic boy in the winter.

I've got the DerbyHouse own ones...

Only used them once so far and they worked fine, didn't slip or rub, wouldn't ever have them on longer than overnight/during the day though as i put them on Blue overnight and in the morning his legs were quite warm!
