Is everyone else suffering as badly? My field is now more poached than it ever was in the winter, the horses are up to their knees in mud, the field shelter is flooded and I cant use the stables as the high winds mean branches keep dropping off onto the roof and I'm terrified the weight of the wet leaves on the branches will bring the whole tree down. I've had the last week booked off work for ages with plans to stone the inside of the shelter but the wet weather meant nothing got done.

I'm seriously considering using a bit of my hay fields. I've managed to create another small paddock using part of the drive so they've got some hardstanding.
At the moment I don't even have stables :(

Oh dear :( We've been very lucky as we have so much grass/grass coverage that it has stopped any poaching. Only thing we had to do was move all the fatties off their starvation paddocks and on to grassy fields with muzzles on.

I seriously hope summer arrives soon, it's so depressing :(

We're not having summer here yet either in Vancouver. :( I had to rake my paddock today so puddles wouldn't collect and make the footing even worse. I am seriously getting tired of this.

I don't believe in human influenced "global warming", but this trend is seriously depressing.:(
