scissors?shedding blade?baby oil? or all 3?

if they are really bad i would snip them off, pons will be molting soon anyway so it wont notice.

You could try softening them with a damp hot towel. Then use a little pig oil on the legs to stop the mud sticking in the future.

Long hair - cold water and washing up liquid - good old green fairy is best will get rid of them with a bit of work then again oil up the hair.

I'v got the same problem with mine. He gets really finnicky about his legs being washed etc and literally bolts around his stable if I go to his legs with anything other than a brush/hoofpick! I'v just tried brushing them out a little at a time, taken a month so far, but nearly there! Don't you just love TB's!!!!!

Once you HAVE got them off (not easy!) try putting some coat shine on the hair one a week and the mud doesn't cling! We do this to our horses cheeks and top of legs when turned out in winter with rugs on - saves mega amounts of time when chipping off the mud when they come in!!!!!!!!!!!!
