does anyone use these rubber gateway mats? any thoughts on them?
or what else do people put down in there gateways?
starting to think about winter now after a lot of rain last night

Have used rubber mats to create walkways to our arena.
They are good but the ground needs some preparation before laying if the level at the gate is low then it will need to be built up before putting the mats down.Also best done when the grass is growing really well They need a few months to establish a good grow through of grass and everything needs to be kept off them until established.
I think you may be able to use a top dressing instead of grassing through but not sure and have never done that.
Have used a membrane and then a scalpings surface for some gateways and that works well
 
I've got the mesh mats in various places.

They work well on the grass part of the yard, but not too successful in the gateways. They were professionally laid.

we are on very heavy clay.

They are a total waste of time if a mole decides to tunnel underneath

I'll be adding stone to the gateways.
