So, I'm still struggling to find a bit that my gelding likes. I have decided to try something without any joints, but I'm unsure of whether to go for a mullen mouth (with a slight curve) or one with a low port first? So far the bit he hates the least is a loose ring sweet iron lozenge. However he is much, much happier his hackamore. Any bit ideas or even 'give up and stick to bitless' advice/ideas are welcome.

I went through 21 bits until I tried a mullen mouth kimblewick, we use that and now a cambridge mouth kimblewick as it has a little extra room for a thick tongue - he hates joints!

If I could find something that he likes and is dressage legal, I'll be utterly thrilled. I'm hoping to borrow bits from friends (and not buy a bazillion bits that he hates) to start with, so I'll have to see if they've got anything similar to try.
