I’m looking for the best solution to someone walking 6 dogs at a time.... all the same breed, walk at the same rate, well trained, unlikely to mix around, I want to avoid the issue of having to keep hold of 6 thin leads? To avoid the possibility of dropping a lead without realising for a very short period of time.

I will be entirely honest up front, this is for my mum so please don’t even go there to suggest criticism in any way - it’s my mum, yes I know perfectly well, but that’s the way it is......

I was wondering about a walk belt but wasn’t sure if that would cause more problems than it solved ? (PARENTS - TOO MUCH WORRY, DONT HAVE THEM!!!)

I had a vision of one of those metal loops you hang dog leads from at a show - attach all leads there, job done!

I was going to say that I sometimes put my 3s leash loops on the belt to my bum bag containing poo bags + a small first aid kit for dogs, which I usually have around my waist when I take mine out for walks. But that padded carabiner looks like a better solution for your mum.
