Ok so mum hauled me in from the field at some god unearthly hour this morning but hey at least I got breakfast
grin.gif

Out came the big blue lorry again, cue me pooing for England Scotland and Wales
wink.gif
mum didn't seem impressed though
shocked.gif
and as well as Sunny and mum's sister Chris, Caspar and Jo came along as well, PARTY on
grin.gif
smile.gif

So had a short journey on the box and then off we all got and mum chucked my tack on whilst muttering something about 12 minutes to start. walked round nicely and then decided to forget trot and went straight into canter as it was so exciting
grin.gif
popped the practice fence a couple of times and then we were off
grin.gif

I got a bit keen going towards the start so Amy walked with us and then it was 3,2,1, and off
grin.gif
locked on to the novice fence which we weren't doing
mad.gif
and mum had to take evasive manoueveres to get me round it and off we popped over the mini course. Screeched to a stop by the gate and mum made me walk through it and then off we went again. By this time I was in my stride and thoroughly enjoying it although I must admit going round the corner I was a tad worried about mum as her breathing sounded a bit laboured
tongue.gif
note to self to pee off with her more often and get her wind up
smirk.gif
grin.gif
flew the rest off the course, motorbiking round the corner and instead of going round again mum made me stop and go back in the warm up area
mad.gif
hmmmph I'd only just warmed up
grin.gif

Sunny was next and then Caspar, who all copied me and went clear.
Mum walked me round for a bit but seemed pleased with how fit I was
grin.gif
Then had a chill out outside the box until the pesky flies bothered me too much so we all went on the box for a snooze.
Mum, sister and Jo then came back all excited with several large rosettes, apparantley sis and Sunny had come 1st out of 22 being 2 seconds over the optimum time - hmmph who said hairy cobs can't do speed
grin.gif
Mum and I came 4th as we were 14 seconds within the optimum time, and to think I wasn't even motoring
tongue.gif
and Caspar and Jo came 6th as they were 17 seconds over the optimum time.
It was so embarrassing as mum then proceeded to give me a kiss on the face - eurgh I would rather have had a carrot
blush.gif

So mum was exceptionally pleased with me and muttered something about perhaps doing the novice class next time round, woohoo bigger fences and longer course
grin.gif

Also had lots of fuss from Mooch, JAK and Palamino Pony who had come along for the morning too
grin.gif

Just got to work out how to convince mum to jump bigger and then we can go and have lots more fun
grin.gif
any ideas much appreciated?

Wow! Lovely report there Pidge

Glad you looked after your mum and did her confidence the world of good
grin.gif

Look forward to reading about the next class you do
wink.gif

Thanks, I thought it was about time I made her smile again and after I was so good for her at Eland Lodge HT (I came 9th out of 42
smile.gif
) I couldn't really let her down today, in fact she did say the word 'Awesome' when asked by some lady how we had done
grin.gif
Can't wait now till mum books our next HT

Amber sends Pidge this message: Well done to you, does your aunty tell your mum what she should be doing in the school, mine does. Well done you, I can't get my mum to do anything as much fun as that. I think if you keep being so good then your mum will let you jump bigger things and run around for longer, good luck with your continued training of her
smile.gif

Hi Amber yes Aunty Chris does tell mummy what to do in the school too - must be a sister thing
grin.gif

How come your mum doesn't do fun things like this? It was only 1080m and 2' fences so not big
smirk.gif
grin.gif
well I don't think it's big can't speak for mum though
wink.gif
Ooh do you think she will let me jump bigger then? Gets excited at the thought
grin.gif
smile.gif

Well done Pidge. You looked like you wanted to go round again! You were very interested in the BE schedule too - now you've just got to work very hard convincing that rider of yours!!

Well done Sue - Lots of rosettes in your lorry today.

(My friend got a fab clear in the next class but got 8 penalties for being too fast. Considering she did the course at a slow canter we were shocked. We have been working on speeding her up to make the time at Eland so this was a little different! We left just after you so no idea yet how she got on but she definately should have done the open!)

Yes mum was such a spoil sport pulling me up after that fence as I was more than ready to go round again
smirk.gif
grin.gif
Will have to work on getting her fitness up so she can cope with the bigger longer courses
grin.gif

So pleased your friend went clear and what a bummer re the penalties for going too fast
frown.gif
I know we didn't exactly romp it but Pidge does kind of cover the ground well due to his size
grin.gif
If your friend gives Jo a ring she'll let her know where they came?
